Will It Hurt a Harley Davidson CD Player/Radio If It Gets Rained On?
I’m thinking of getting a Harley, but I see the new ones have CD players and Radios. I’d hate to have the electronics get fried if I went on a cross country drive. I just want something my baby and I can get away on, and she can sit comfortably on… maybe something with a back to it. A SMALL amount of luggage space (saddle bags) would be nice too.

If the cd player/ radio is not in a covered area then it should be fine in the rain because it is more then likely a marine type radio which means it can get wet and still work fine.. If it is in a covered area it is probably a standard radio and rain and water will probably fry it if turned on when wet.
You and your baby should go and check out a Victory Vision. It has built in MP3 player and satellite radio. Motorcycle of the year and 1st in JD Power ratings. 106 cubic inch oil cooled engine and 6 speed will have you out in front of all the Harley’s
Yeah he’s right there generally waterproof.
I think most of the bikes with music use marine grade electronics but I also agree that you should look at the Victory. SWEET looking bike!!!!!
I put a Pioneer Premier on my Harley and wash it all the time
and I have no problems unless I get the face wet, and then I just have to spray it with a little air, if you get a factory installed one they ARE waterproof, and they do not get wet while riding down the road.
Nope, I wash mine with a pressure washer, keep the flap for the CD player closed and the plug for the MP3 pugged in and you’ll be OK.
cd/radio????? i just lissen to my engine……
Wow, talk about the dark ages. Does it also have a wind-up victrola?
If it is made for Harley Davidson, it is a marine radio and will work fine if it gets wet.
